13/04/2011   Employers’ Liability Tracing Office – ERN Information

The Employers’ Liability Tracing Office (ELTO) is an independent industry body comprising of members who are Employers’ Liability (EL) Insurers.  It is designed to help employees who have suffered injury or disease in the workplace to identify the relevant insurer quickly and efficiently via the Employers’ Liability Database (ELD).

From 1st April GJIS Limited will be required to capture additional information on all commercial new and renewal policies that have EL cover with an inception or renewal date on or after 1st April 2011.

Most of the data required is largely available from our existing records however we need your assistance in obtaining the missing information which is:-

The Employer’s Reference Number (ERN) for the policyholder and any subsidiary company insured under the policy (this may be the same or different).  The ERN is commonly referred to as the Employers’ PAYE reference

Accordingly in the course of the following months we will be requesting confirmation of your ERN(s) for each and any of your trading companies insured by this your policy.
